What is MOPS KIDS?
MOPS KIDS is the childcare that is connected with MOPS. Our MOPS KIDS program provides loving care for children, four months through kindergarten. While mothers attend the MOPS meetings, the children enjoy a program designed to meet their needs. The children are divided into age groups and are involved in planned activities that provide social growth and spiritual enrichment, including a curriculum base for young preschool and preschool age children. The children attend a music class, and have outdoor play time. In addition the older children do crafts.
We realize that this may be a new experience for your child and that he or she may have trouble separating from you. You can take comfort in knowing that your child will have nurturing care. During the meeting should your child need you, you can rest assured you will be contacted.
For your child's time in MOPS KIDS, please plan to bring a snack, as well as any diapers, wipes, bottles and changes of clothes they may need for the morning. Closed-toe shoes are required. MOPS KIDS is a NUT-FREE environment. If you bring any snack that may be confused with peanuts, please label them (sunflower butter is acceptable) clearly.
We always have room for more moms in our MOPS group. However, in order to keep MOPS KIDS classes at sizes that are manageable and safe for our little ones, we sometimes must suspend enrollment in our MOPS KIDS program.
