Please be on time. We all understand this isn't always possible with little ones! This is why speakers typically begin around 9:45. If you're running late, no worries. Just try to enter discretely if the speaker has started presenting;
We are a breastfeeding-friendly group;
Please be present when you're here- these 2 hours were planned just for YOU; please refrain from making personal phone calls or sending text messages;
Share ideas freely and respectfully;
Remember whatever is shared and discussed at your table stays at your table- no gossiping;
Please be courteous of your guest speakers by refraining from chatting while speakers are talking. We want to show respect to our speakers, who volunteer their time to educate us;
Please wait to break down your tables until 11:25. You may leave at anytime, but it is disruptive to the entire group when tables start to pack up earlier.
Please do not use MOPS meetings, contact information or email lists for any other purposes. We want to keep MOPS a safe place. Note MOPS International prohibits direct solicitation or selling. MOPS is not the appropriate venue to promote any professional or home business. Accordingly, we graciously request you conduct any business dealings outside of MOPS.
We take turns bringing breakfast. Please note others' food allergies. PCOM is a nut-free campus. Your table leader ("DGL") will hand out a food sign up sheet and notify you when you're signed up.
Children are NOT permitted to attend MOPS meetings. Only infants (under the age of 1) may attend with their mothers. If you need childcare for your toddler, preschool or school aged child, on a one-time basis, please contact your MOPS KIDS Coordinator to see if there is room in childcare. You must also complete a medical release for that child.
If you have invited a visitor, inform your table leader and Coordinator. If the visitor needs childcare, notify your table leader. First, we must ensure we have space with our MOPS KIDS Coordinator and obtain a completed medical release for the visiting child.
All moms must honor our childcare guidelines, including not bringing a child to MOPS KIDS if he or she has been vomiting, had fever, excessive coughing or mucus for 48 hours previously.
At Each Meeting
Door Prizes! If you're timely, please take a red ticket at the right hand side table as you walk in, keep half of the ticket and place the other half into the small bucket. The Coordinator will draw tickets for a cute door prize at the end of each meeting! We give away fun prizes like jewelry, nail polish, candles, notepads.
We have a "Take It or Leave It" table in the back of the room. Feel free to bring any new or gently used baby or children's items (such as clothing, shoes, toys, even maternity clothing) to swap with other moms in our group. Whatever is leftover at the end of each semester gets donated to Mary's Shelter and Illumination Foundation. New baby items will be donated Illumination Foundation.
Our Mentor Moms pass around prayer journals at each meeting. You can write down your prayer requests or concerns in confidence. Your Mentor Mom will email the prayer concerns for the entire group after each meeting. The prayer journals help us support each other by sharing joys and challenges.
If you would like or need prayer, we will have the Pastor, Coordinator and mentor moms alternate and be available for private and confidential prayer.
